  My first visit to this dentist will most certainly be my last and here's why. Upon meeting the dental hygienist, I explained in clear terms that I had high sensitivity to "oops moments" with dentists. Meaning, I had been to several dentists previously and had an issue when some hygienists or dentists would 'oops' and prick my gums or bang my teeth with their instruments. Mind you, I mentioned all this before she began my cleaning. So my thought was that she would take into account the customer's concerns and proceed accordingly. As it occurred, while she was doing my cleaning she repeatedly pricked my gums and when I flinched she made comments like, "oh my...you are extra sensitive, clearly there must be something wrong with your teeth or gums over there...". She proceeded to continue to 'shame' me for a couple of areas where I hadn't been flossing as well as I should. Further, she commented that my sensitivity was likely due to cum disease or cavities. Well, as it happens, when the dentist came in and checked my teeth, he mentioned, all was good and that I had no cavities or reasons for concern whatsoever. This was shocking to me since just 3 minutes prior, the hygienist was certain I had some major issued going on with my teeth and gums. Bottom line, customers don't visit the dentist to be repeatedly shamed for their dental hygiene. The hygienist should undergo some basic customer service and bedside manor training - it would do her and the office a world of good. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning and will be sure to socialize my unpleasant experience to my colleagues and friends, so hopefully they don't have to endure such treatment.
